I've been in IT for 20+ years. Fifteen, and counting, of those years have been focused on software, automation, and data warehousing with an emphasis on web and emerging technologies in business environments. My career has taken me from web 0.0 to web 2.0, over countless computing models, and through seismic shifts in data management techniques. Information technology is not just a career; it's a passion, and while that passion certainly changes over time, it can usually be found somewhere near the bleeding edge.

Today, my areas of concentration include Node.js, NoSQL data management systems, and real-time applications. I've most recently been exploring and further developing a micro-server infrastructure, meshing minimal-functionality processes, to offer a highly distributed application platform, natural isolation and concurrent versioning.
